Summary:碩士 === 國立東華大學 === 企業管理學系 === 101 === Business groups in Taiwan are going to confront with the succession of leadership, the origin and Characteristics of successor are related to whether business build to last. Leadership successions have significant impacts on strategy or performance of Business groups. This study shows that the strategy or performances of business groups are changed by difference type of succession or successor characteristics. 27 business groups which have succession and 31 exist continuously business groups are selected from data of business groups in Taiwan by China Credit Information Service, LTD to study the change of strategy and performance from type of succession and leadership characteristics. The empirical result indicates the changes of performances are obvious when business groups hire professional manager as CEO. In addition, the successions which have university diploma and the abroad studying experiences have positive impacts on internationalization strategy.
