Summary:碩士 === 國立東華大學 === 自然資源與環境學系 === 101 === The study aims to explore the changes of cultural landscapes of the Lin-Ten-Shan Forestry Culture Park. The research questions include: What do the cultural landscapes of the Lin-Ten-Shan area change over time? How to involve local people in investigate the cultural landscape changes? In order to answer the above questions, this study employ the methods of document analysis of various historical maps and individual interviews with some local elders as well as held several focus group discussions of local residents. The findings show that the cultural landscape of the area at the beginning stage of the 1950’s was in a simple and regular pattern. Most living residents had vivid and abundant memories of the detailed landscapes of the area at a peak of the logging industry during the 1960’s. Due to the adjustment of the national forestry policy in the 1970’s and 80’s, lots of staffs of the local forestry department retired and many facilities of the logging industry left unused. The development of local community declined. The remains of the hard infrastructures were added new value of cultural heritages in the 1990’s. An amount of local stories during different stages based were collected based on the memories of local people. The outcomes of the study provide useful information for planning and management of the Lin-Ten-Shan Forestry Culture Park.
