Finally, the silver nitrate is added into the polyurethane. The silver ion will react with the 2, 6 - pyridimthanol to form the polyurethane (PU)/silver nitrate composite material with metal coordination bond. The influence of different ratio of silver nitrate on the property of polyurethane with pyridine ring is studied. The characteristic peak is identified to confirm the structure of polyurethane. The residual material after thermal degradation can be used to assure the addition of silver nitrate, and the influenc eof silver nitrate on degradation temperatureis observed. When the content of silver nitrate is increased, the glass transition temperature (Tg) will be significantly increased regularly. After tested by the universal tensile testing machine (MTS), it is shown when the content of silver nitrate is increased, the elongation of polyurethane (PU)/silver nitrate composite material will be decreased significantly; The X-diffraction (XRD) is used to analyze the crystall; The EDX is used to analyze the content and distribution of silver metal in the composite material metal; The atomic force microscope (AFM) is used to analyze the surface roughness, and it is shown when the content of silver metal is increased, the surface roughness will be increased significantly; The sodium hydroxide (NaOH) solution is used to decompose the membrane of polyurethane/silver metal composite material, in order to observe the decomposition rate of composite membrane within a short time, and the scanning electron microscope (SEM) is used to observe the pore and crack of PU composite membrane after hydrolysis; The sterilization rate of composite membrane with silver metal on Staphylococcus Aureus and Escherichia Coli will be increased with the content of silver metal, so that the composite material has significant antibacterial property.
