Wake vortex is that indicator of vane effectiveness.This study mainly through computational fluid dynamics software FLUENT to explore the three-dimensional flow field quantitative characteristics of vane. Analysis of the variables on the plate produce horseshoe vortex and wake vortex relations. Flume experiment data and simulation results comparing the error to determine the selection of the turbulence model and mesh distribution.The simulation results show that standard k-εmodel is more suitable for submerged vane flow field numerical simulation. When vane’s length per height larger horseshoe vortex and the area affected will also be larger. When vane angle increases, the horseshoe vortex and the area affected is slightly reduced, but effect is not obvious.
