Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立宜蘭大學 === 多媒體網路通訊數位學習碩士在職專班 === 101 === Painting for children is one of the first languages they get to know and the most direct way to convey message. Children can express their inner thoughts through painting and this is the most realistic true self. Painting is a form of nonverbal communication and a sonorous expression for elementary school children, which is more distinguishable than any other languages. In the current diversified teaching environment, painting is indeed a strong implication of children’s mental growth, especially for children whose language development is not as matured. The author as an elementary school teacher through student counseling found that most of the misbehaviors of children these days lie in poor communication or children unable to express themselves properly. Therefore, the author would like to use the problems discovered from the children's painting and combine with group guidance to provide substantial help to the children. The objective of this study was to investigate the fifth graders, who have behavior troubles or problems in everyday life, through the graphical interpretation or analysis of their paintings on the computers, to further understand the true meaning of their paintings. By designing counseling courses supplemented with multimedia and information technology, to assist in the comprehensive development of the student’s emotions and interpersonal relationships. The research methodology is based on the analysis, consolidation and categorization of the paintings from different students as to explore the correlation between children's painting and their mental development. The study was carried out in Hsinchu County “Mountain Breeze Elementary School” (a pseudonym) of class 5D, where the relevant drawings were analyzed. The findings help to support the research objectives such as the following. Firstly, to explore the effect of guidance activities combined with artistic teaching and information technology on the emotional management and interpersonal development of fifth graders. Secondly, to discover the true of children’s painting through computer analysis. Lastly, through the combination of painting analysis and counseling, this study hopes to assist the teachers in the management of the students’ problems. Painting for children is a natural expression of their thoughts. Through this study, the fifth grade children can be better comprehended and the research results will be presented as well as specific recommendations for future research and reference in children counseling.
