In the first part, diode-loaded uniform impedance resonators (UIRs) are used to realize switchable resonators. The resonant frequencies can be controlled by changing the loaded location of the diode. In this way, the resonant frequencies can be misaligned over the operating band to achieve a high isolation at OFF state. Besides, the proposed switchable dual-band bandpass filter has four different operating states. In the second part, diode-loaded stepped impedance resonators (SIRs) are used realized switchable resonators. Compared with the diode loaded UIR in the first part, the SIR has flexibilities of controlling resonant frequencies by choosing different impedance and length ratios. Thus, the harmonic responses and isolation of the switchable bandpass filter can be further improved with SIR structure. The measured results show good agreements with the simulations.
