Especially, after the case of Enron happened, the business unites have not only established information technology defense mechanisms, but also implemented internal control strictly. After 911, although it was a terrorist attack event in the United States, it also exposed the vulnerability of corporate information, especially the ability of Business continuity planning was tumbled by this event. Therefore, the enterprise began to consider the direction of Information Security.
This study aims to analyze the effects of the business units which adopt the ISMS. The survey uses a questionnaire to investigate 102 business units in Taiwan to understand the strength and the weakness of the ISMS in order to provide further information to the business units and the enterprise.
This study finds that due to various other industries, focused on information security policy areas are different. But most of the samples of common concern in business continuity plan, except that the current building in information security matures, but also see the organization required of the disaster resilience, with urgency needs.
