When the specification differences between wipers are similar, the product’s shape becomes the primary influential-factor of purchase intention. Nowadays, users demand of products change from functional factor into psychological emotional factors. Therefore, propose of shape development by realizing the user''s psychological emotion of products could improve user''s purchase intention. This study investigated the correlation between imagery words of describing flat wiper configuration and design features by Kansei engineering approach. The semantic differential method is also utilized to research the recognition of 16 examples of product configuration from 65 interviewees. The imagery recognition thus can be digitalized and further analyzed statistically. Then, the optimal product design specification is established. The experimental results show that the flat wiper configurations designed by Kansei engineering can meet the requirement of users, the designs in this study are useful as a design reference for flat wiper configurations.
