碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 視覺設計學系 === 101 === With the changes of time, such as social and economic instability, make people feel uncertainty about the future and began to cherish the past wonderful things, this phenomenon stimulates the needs of specific market for nostalgic products. So inspire the creator through the pictures and words to explode the theme of Nostalgia and life education in the picture book. The goal of the picture book design is make the reader be able to recognize Taiwan's features and content, and also to subtly feel some meaning and significance of education. The purpose of the artwork is to explode the factors of nostalgic combine with the surrealism style in picture book design, which could convey the nostalgic emotion to reader, and also those who didn’t experience the past time could have a new feeling from picture book. The theoretical method mainly base on the literature review. The chapter one includes creative motivation, purpose, methods and process; The chapter two focuses on three aspects; (a) Nostalgia-depth analysis, (b) The performance techniques and elements of surrealist style (c) The status of life education, meaning and values; The chapter three is to analysis the related picture books which impact or inspired the creator. According to the above-mentioned research, the idea of this artwork is ensured. The creator began to write the script and develop draft. Using acrylic paint to create picture books, complete total of 32 hand-painted works, including the front page, coverage, title page and copyright page and so on, to do the layout and design. Finally, after reexamination and revision, the results of artwork and layout design would be explain cleanly, and then show the conclusions which describe the inspiration, thoughts and harvest the creator get through the research and creation process.
