Summary: | 碩士 === 國立屏東教育大學 === 教育行政研究所 === 101 === The purpose of this study is to form the indicators of the professional learning community, organizational commitment and teaching efficiency of elementary school and to explore the current situation and relevant level of the professional learning community, organizational commitment and teaching efficiency of elementary school teachers in remote area in Pingtung. It also discusses the difference of professional learning community, organizational commitment and teaching efficiency among teachers with different backgrounds.
The research itself has to be done in two stages. First to create a meaningful indicator with the use of the Delphi Technique. A questionnaire survey was conducted in this research in the second stage. Teachers who are participating in the professional learning community in remote elementary school in Pingtung were interviewed. The questionnaires included the following four parts : The professional learning Community Scale of teachers, The organizational commitment scale, The teaching efficiency scale, and the fourth part is The basic materials.
There were 248 valid samples retrieved from 268 formal questionnaires. The statistical methods contained t-test, one-way ANOVA, and the Pearson Product-Moment Correlation, etc.
This research concluded the following statements:
1. Indicator for professional learning community, organizational commitment, and teaching efficiency contains fifty-one element indicators.
2. The current condition of the development of professional learning community of teachers in remote elementary school of Pingtung County is great, especially in sharing teaching practices. The Supporting the Structural Relationship is in a poor condition.
3. Teachers have great performance in participating in organizational commitment, especially in “hardworking intention.” They have poor tendency to retain the job.
4. Teachers have great performance in participating in teaching efficiency, especially in “multiple teaching strategies.” They have poor performance in “Teaching Evaluations”.
5. There is no difference of professional learning community among teachers with different background. Female teachers perform better than male teachers in the practical level of sharing teaching.
6. Female teachers perform better than male teachers in organizational commitment and hardworking intention. The tendency of retaining the job is direct proportional with the service length teachers.
7. Female teachers perform better than male teachers in teaching efficiency and teaching preparation. Senior teachers have better class management performance than younger teachers.
8. The performance of professional learning community helps to improve the performance of organizational commitment.
9. The performance of organizational commitment helps to improve the performance of teaching efficiency.
10. The performance of learning community helps to improve the performance of teaching efficiency.
According to the results, the study serves as a reference for the administrative organizations, educational superiors, schools, and more researchers in the future.
