| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中山大學 === 社會學系碩士班 === 101 === Tourism of Hengchun Peninsula developed early. Si-Chung Creek(四重溪) and Eluanbi(鵝鑾鼻) had been famous tourist attraction during the Japanese occupation. But today, Kenting became preeminent sightseeing in place of Si-Chung Creek. Such outcome resulted from the department of government interacted with each other. It attempted to not only tourists ''experienced'' and ''gazed'' to what the imagination, but also constructed a tourist space to produce the transformation.
The author discussed tourism through national and local tourism patterns found Hengchun Peninsula tourism development could be divided into four periods: the local government transition period (1945-1955), the Tourism Council dominated period (1956-1971), Tourism Bureau dominant period (1972-1981), conflict of Kenting National Park (1982).The first phase of local government led tourist space, extended operation had developed natural attractions of Japanese colonial period. But with the Bureau''s intervention in the planning, established the focus of Kenting Scenic Area was Kenting Forest Recreation Area, the tourist space of Hengchun Peninsula moved gradually to Kenting area. When the international tourist hotels and Kenting National Park founded, the establishment of tourist attractions style built further from the recreation area into a long stay resort, not only artificial recreational facilities gradually replaced nature appreciation, but also between ecological conservation and tourism brought conflicts. The Spring Scream music festival in Kenting beach ran, so people imagined the landscape of Kenting was exotic, and tourist space of beach replaced to land. In this series of national and foreign capital constructed tourist space, community solidarity also taken against both the way, developed a unique style of tourist space of Hengchun.
