A water surface formed in the catalyst layer of cathode, and the surface will vary according to the difference between the quantity of general water and removed water. The certain distance of the cathode layer is the major reaction area, and the distance is also affected by the quantity of Nafion. Experiments have corroborated that the quantity is decided by the volume of cathode layer, instead of the weight of Pt.
