By the investigation method of in-depth interviews, it refers to eight enterprises of five industries including aviation industry, financial industry, software service industry, catering industry, wholesale and retail industry. Corresponding to the FDI theories, there are four interview frameworks included, namely, entry mode, strategic motivation, factors of mechanism on institution and policy system and difficulties of investment in Taiwan by China-based firms respectively. Several main conclusions are generated as follows: (1) The entry mode of WOS (Wholly owned subsidiary) is preferred by all the enterprises from Mainland China when invest in Taiwan. (2)Except wholesale and retail industry, the motivation and the initial reason of investment in Taiwan of the other industries are to service enterprises from Taiwan and Mainland China. (3)Except software service industry and enterprise F8 (electronics industry), the success of investment in Taiwan by enterprises from Mainland China is base on the successful sign of ECFA. (4)To enterprises from Mainland China, the institutional and policy constraints are much more strict and harsh than the other foreign enterprises.
