Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺中教育大學 === 教育測驗統計研究所 === 101 === The purpose of this study was to investigate the performance and development on listening comprehension, reading comprehension and handwriting ability of the lower grade students in the elementary school, and further to explore whether the students’ listening comprehension could be as the predicted index for reading comprehension and handwriting ability in the future. The participants were 195 first-grader students, and they were tracked for one year. From the results of this study, the correlations between listening comprehension and reading comprehension for lower grade students in the elementary school were enhanced with age. However, the correlations between listening comprehension and handwriting ability weren’t enhanced with age. In addition, the various achievement groups of listening comprehension were significant differences in reading comprehension and handwriting ability. It is worth to note the students’ listening comprehension could be predicted their reading comprehension and handwriting ability. Therefore, the paper suggests the teachers can use the Listening Comprehension Test to predict the student’s future reading comprehension and handwriting ability, and find out the student's learning difficulties.
