This study looks at parents of children in public and private kindergartens across Taiwan. Using stratified convenience sampling, we selected a total of 74 kindergartens. Questionnaires were sent to selected kindergartens, and a total of 937 valid questionnaires returned. The results of the survey are as follows: 1.Kindergarten parents have a great deal of experience using the Internet. Internet use mostly takes place at home, with users limiting their time online. Parents often use the Internet to search for information or enhance their knowledge, and use the Internet less often to interact with kindergarten teachers. They are also less likely to play online games and very rarely suffer adverse health effects from their Internet use. 2.Most kindergarten parents believe they have good parent-child interaction. Kindergarten parents care about their children, and hug or spend to time with them to express this. Parents only occasionally face communication difficulties with their child. Mothers enjoy better parent-child interactions than fathers, while parent-child interaction among highly educated parents is also slightly better than among less educated parents. 3.In terms of the relationship between parent's Internet usage and parent-child interactions, gender, length of Internet use, use the Internet as a tool, and use the Internet for learning are all significant positive predictors of parent-child interactions. Furthermore, Internet use has a significant negative influence on health. Internet use can have both beneficial and harmful results. Parent who use the Internet in a positive way tend to enjoy better parent-child interactions. Chiu, Shu-Hui 邱淑惠 2013 學位論文 ; thesis 107 zh-TW
