Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 生物科技學系碩士班 === 101 === Stanniocalcin (STC) formerly called hypocalcin or teleocalcin, is a 50-kDa disulfide-linked homodimeric glycoprotein that was originally identified in fish and secreted from the corpuscles of Stannius (CS), which are attached to the kidneys. Calcium is essential element for all animals. It is important for bone structure, and it serves a variety of intracellular and extracellular roles. For terrestrial vertebrates, food is the main source of Ca2+, while aquatic vertebrates obtain Ca2+from water . Ca2+ absorption occurs in epithelia, including the kidney, intestine, and gill. In this study, the partial mRNA sequence of STC-1 and ECaC was confirmed by gene cloning. The specific primer was designed by the sequence of database. Using PCR , STC-1 and ECaC gene expression was amplified in every stage during embryo development. This result prove STC-1 and ECaC gene express in early stage. The effect of environment in different calcium concentration on calcium content during embryo development and the relation between STC-1 and ECaC will be the purpose.
