Summary:碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 體育學系碩士班 === 101 === The purpose of this study is to explore the relevance of the sleeping habits and physical fitness among elementary school students and explore whether different sleeping habits will affect the performance of physical fitness or not.The research based on the method of questionnaires survey. The survey of the participants’ sleeping habits included the time that participants go to bed and wake up, and the total sleeping hours a day. Afterward, the study would exam the participates’ physical fitness performance. The population of the survey were based on 4th to 6th graders in Tainan city. The total numbers of the participants were 207 children which included 53 children in 4th grade, 76 children in 5th grade, and 78 children in 6 grade. According to the statics procedures included descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson Product-Moment Correlation( significance level alpha=.05). The findings related to the study are as the follows:1.The rank of the students with the obesity were higher than normal and the BMI level and the result of physical fitness examination has significant difference . The more obese students were, the lower the physical fitness performed.2.The older the participants were, the fewer their sleeping hours would be.3.The sleeping hours did affect the participants’ fitness performance. The less hours the participants slept, the lower their physical fitness occurred.4. There was no significant difference on the effect that the waking time affect participants’ physical fitness performance because the waking time were mostly similar. 5. The results between the relationships of sleeping hours and participants’ physical fitness performances had significant difference. The fewer sleeping hours the participants have, the worse their physical fitness performance they show.
