碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 科技管理碩士班 === 101 === The purpose of this study is to explore whether the alliance control mechanism can moderate the relationship between absorptive capacity and firm performance. The selection of the questionnaire sample in this study is aimed at 597 electronics and information technology firms in Taiwan. There are five hypotheses in this study: (1) firm''s absorptive capacity has positively impact on firm performance in strategic alliance; (2) the behavior control in strategic alliance has positively impact on firm performance; (3) the outcome control in strategic alliance has positively impact on firm performance; (4) the behavior control positively moderates the relationship between absorptive capacity and firm performance; (5) the outcome control positively moderates the relationship between absorptive capacity and firm performance. The results of empirical study support our hypotheses. This study contributes to not only further discuss that the relationship between firm’s absorptive capacity and firm performance but also complement the lack of literature about the effect of alliance control mechanism to the relationship between absorptive capacity and firm performance.
