It’s a surgical instrument designed to imitate the human wrist with precise, accurate, and intuitive reaction control system. This study aimed to investigate acceptability and impact on acceptance of the relevant factors of the operating room nurses involved in minimal invasive da Vinci surgical System robotic arm. The subjects were 14 operating room nurses of a southern medical center with depth interviews for data collection. The results show that nurses'' participation in da Vinci robot minimal invasive surgery system leads to their high acceptance; also that when individuals perceive more relative benefits of the innovation, the higher possibility to accept it. The operating room nurses will indeed be influenced by perceived usefulness and task - technology fit. This study also finds that nurses in the da Vinci robotic instruments and devices often need to switch the process of applying mechanical arm devices, hemostasis devices and other systems operating. If they were unfamiliar with da Vinci robotic arm instruments and device, the nurses may need more operation time and have more psychological resistance. The da Vinci minimal invasive surgical robotic arm system training and education is essential. This study suggests that a timely manner of the operating room nurses and sufficient educational training courses can lead to the better use of new technology and then enhance the operating room nurses’ capabilities. To ask for unit leaders and nursing colleagues mutual support, these will help improve operating room nurses for da Vinci robotic surgical system of training and development to build acceptance.
