To achieve the goal, Taiwan government positively expands diplomacy, and enhances the quality of education for overseas Chinese students. From 1951 through 2012 about 170,000 overseas Chinese students have come back to Taiwan to receive education. With their excellent performance, many have become leaders from all walks of life in their home countries, which benefits our diplomacy. as well as proves the importance of overseas Chinese education. There are annually 13,000 overseas Chinese students coming to study in Taiwan. Researches concerning about the learning conditions overseas which Chinese students would encounter, almost all of which are aimed at college or university undergraduates. Thus, study conditions of senior high overseas Chinese students in Taiwan become the priority of this research. Subjects of this study are Taiwan's overseas students studying in high school. After the implementation of questionnaires and interviews come the following conclusions: 1. Most overseas Chinese students coming to Taiwan adapt themselves well to high school education; only few perform poorly. 2 With various backgrounds, overseas Chinese students in high school differ in their learning attitude, self-regulated learning strategies as well as their learning adaptation. 3 These students’ learning adaptation could be predicted by their learning attitude; their self-regulated strategies for learning could also be predicted by their learning adaptation. According to the observation, The study suggests that:1.Overseas Chinese students need to be provided with those enhancing their learning motivation and benefiting their learning adaptation. 2 Overseas Chinese students will learn better by preparing them to have positive learning attitudes and to acquire self-regulated learning strategies. The study expects to offer some conclusions and implications for the overseas Chinese students, and overseas Chinese schools, and the government to be aware of the importance of post-secondary education for overseas Chinese students.
