The area geologicalstructure of North Seafront Road is mostly northeast strike and nearly vertical to the coastline. Therefore, the study area’s terrain of section is also northeast strike extend to East China Sea area. The study rodehas a good view in usual daysbecause it face the sea and has mountains in back, but whenraining a lot in several days or typhoon comes, the fragile geology often cause rode side slop soil and traffic interruption. So drives often take extra care and keep an eye on mountains when driving along on the road. It is very dangerous when landslide happened and rock filled, the collapse and rode side slop soil could endanger the passing people and vehicle. Hopping this road section could obtain an effective improvement. North Seafront Road is in the northeast part of Taiwan, the congenital environment has many mountains, typhoons, and raining a lot.The mountain topography is cliffy and the geology is fragile, this area is also the most average rainfall in Taiwan. Rode often build up along the mountain and coastline because of the traffic need, those road promote the developmentof remote village and balance of region development, but those road also changed the local original terrain and the landform. Because of the road exploitation, the slope corner moves from stable toward unstable. Besides the plum rains season in spring, summer and fall also affect by typhoon and its heavy rain, cause rode side slop soil. In winter, northeasterly wind bring mist from the sea, the facing the wind side also rains a lot. Surface of the slope often corrode by the rain and typhoon activities also quite frequently, for those reasons rode side slop soil happen almost every year. How to control of water, soil, and road side rock to maintain the road safety.
