Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣海洋大學 === 電機工程學系 === 101 === This thesis presents an underwater acoustic multimedia transmission scheme based on space time block code (STBC), gold sequence (GS), orthogonal variable spreading factor (OVSF)/orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) based underwater acoustic multimedia (UWAM) communication. The proposed scheme integrates space-time block code strategies, GS, OVSF, a power assignment mechanism, OFDM, adaptive modulation, and unequal error protection in a UWAM system. An essential feature of this system is that it offers maximal resource use or minimal total transmission power schemes with substantial quality of service (QoS) for the transmission of multimedia information. A simulation was conducted to verify the functionality of the proposed system in a practical underwater acoustic multimedia scenario. The simulation results showed that the transmission power of the proposed scheme was lower than that of the STBC OVSF/OFDM scheme using the same bit error rate (BER) requirement. Furthermore, the transmission BER of the proposed scheme was inferior to that of STBC OVSF/OFDM schemes that operate under the same transmission power. The STBC OVSF-GS/OFMD-based transport architecture is a feasible platform in underwater acoustic multimedia communications.
