Landscape Resources and Residents' Place Attachment in Shuangxi District, New Taipei City

碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 社會與區域發展學系碩士班 === 102 === This study aims to explore production of space and place attachment of residents of Shuangxi District in New Taipei City to local landscape resources. The researcher attempts to analyze the local landscape resources with perception space, conceived space and lived space concepts from Henri Lefebvre’s trialectics of spatiality theory. The data of Shuangxi’s landscape resources are gathered by site survey, resident interviews, literature reviews and analyzed by Geographic Information System (GIS). Consequently, questionnaires are designed by the results of analysis and surveys are conducted with residents of Suangxi’s resident as targeted sample space. The results showed the following: For perceived space, Shuangxi’s residents preferred in ecological richness and peaceful locations; for conceived space, most Shuangxi inclined increasing the number of bus routes; for lived space, Shuangxi’s residents inclined in recommending families and friends to take vocations; for place attachment, special local produces, streams and misty mountain scenes are acknowledged most in the survey. Levels of education, occupation and neighborhood varieties made significant difference on place attachment. Age, occupation and neighborhood varieties are the chief reasons of conceived space differences. Income inequality and neighborhood varieties of residents caused significant difference in lived space while variances of age, neighborhood and residence history of sampled residents contributes to significant differences in place attachment. The results indicate significant moderate positive correlation between ecological richness, recreation attractions of perceived space and misty mountain scenes of space attachment; Welled known legends of conceived space and old buildings of place attachment are significant moderated positive correlated; Selections that often touring and recommending families and friends to take vocations of lived space and misty mountain scenes and old buildings of place attachment are significant moderated positive correlated. Based on the conclusions, this research provides developing suggestions to local government, residents, schools, and other public services, as well as future researchers.
