Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 台灣文化研究所 === 101 === Taiwanese aborigines had not develop their own written words,for this reason, oral instruction is the critical path of continuation of ethnic culture and life wisdom, and therefore, the ethnic groups had left rich folktales, and these folktales possess the quality of teaching materials. In these folktales there are many have relations with animals, including the explanation of powerful nature and unknown strength when ancestor faced them, the history traces of ethnic groups in the long time, and the interesting strange tale to entertain crowd in leisure. The combination of the story with animals is not only the most difficult to resist teaching material for children, but also the theme of this research’s topics. This research is more than researching into the situation of the animal folktales of Taiwanese aborigines selected and used in textbooks and civil publications, to go a step further ,selecting a folktale of Paiwan, ”The Bride of Hundred Pacer” , is designed to complete teaching activites and practically apply in pedagogical. I hope by the result of this research to inspire the other educators to the animal folktales of Taiwanese aborigines both local and interesting materials widely used when writing textbooks ,creating civil publications and designing teaching activities.
