This study focused on the three semi-autobiographical long novels by Chen Xue: "The Child on the Bridge," "Chen Chuntien," ("Chen Spring") and "The Lovers in the Maze," and it was based on the discussions driven by the previous researchers on the body image and passions of the novels, the interaction among family members, the psychological transition and the local identity generated during migrating among cities, to study the motivations of action of the female describers in the texts from the views of feminism, human geography, and psychology, in addition, to inspect the self-awareness behind the developing of passions, the family atmospheric alienation caused by the traumatic memories in the childhood, and the psychological factors contributing to promote the social mobility and its impacts. This study not only extended the previous obtained study results, also opened new study dimensions to upgrade the level above the physical space, attempting to compile all intermediary spaces in the whole text, including recurring dreams, entangling diseases, reproducing memories, and endless imagination, and applied text analytic method to induce and elaborate the liminal space meanings of the propositions that lie between text to text. After the publication of "Book of the Wicked Woman," Chen Xue had never stopped writing for more than ten years, and the amount of the publication went steady while the subjects went richer, moving from the early stage of bold and explicit descriptions of compassion between homosexuals and passions, to the later writing style of being more introverted to describe the traumatic memories given by the family members in the childhood, and through writing, the author continuously dealt with traumatic memories that had never been healed in mind and significantly affected the adult emotional life, the life path, and the attitude toward life, and through one writing after the other, the broken traumatic memories returned by pieces and reconstructively became clear, and this sincerely caused the passions and the self to release, the traumatic memories to reappear and to reproduce, and the individual migration to realize its meanings.
