Questionnaire survey was conducted and a total of 521 questionnaires were distributed to 10 public elementary schools, and 503 responses were collected. The collected results were later analyzed with SPSS using descriptive statistics, dependent-samples one-way ANOVA, t-test and one-way ANOVA. The research results were followings: 1.The senior graders in elementary schools of New Taipei City had good evaluation to implement character education. 2. The best effective way to implement character education in the fifth and sixth grade students of New Taipei city was " formal curriculum". 3. The better effective ways to implement character education for senior graders of New Taipei City were "paying attention to our performance of good moral character" ," transacting the activities of having good intentions,talking about good things and doing good things. " and " Creating a caring and friendly classroom atmosphere. " 4. There were significant differences in the opinions of the ways to implement character education among the variables of school size, gender and grade. 5.According to the results of the research, several suggestions were proposed to educational administrative institutions, elementary school administrators, teachers and future researchers.
