The research instrument was a questionnaire on “job stress”, “spiritual health”, and “well-being”. The questionnaire was administered to a sample consisting of 570 elementary school teachers in New Taipei City. A total of 498 valid responses were obtained. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation, and multiple regression analysis on SPSS. From the research findings, the following conclusions were obtained: I. Present condition about their job stress, spiritual health, and well-being of the study sample. 1. Elementary school teachers in New Taipei City perceived an intermediate level of job stress, their stress from “students’ performance” was the highest. 2. The respondents’ spiritual health was above the intermediate level, and “connecting to others” was the most valued aspect. 3. The well-being among the elementary school teachers in New Taipei City was above the intermediate level. The highest level was perceived in the aspect of “interpersonal relationship”, while the lowest was perceived in the “physical and mental health”. II. Job stress, spiritual health, and well-being of the study subjects from diverse backgrounds present differences as follows. 1. Job stress: (1)On the gender aspect: Males scored higher in the dimensions of “interpersonal relation” than females. (2)On the age aspect: The aged below 30 teachers have higher “professional knowledge” than the aged above 51. Males scored higher in overall spiritual health and its dimensions of “connecting to others” (3)On the marital status aspect: The married teachers have higher stress from “interpersonal relation” than others. (4)On the function aspect: In overall “job stress” dimensions, the homeroom teachers scored higher than the teachers with administrative work and the subject-teachers. The homeroom teachers have higher scores than the subject-teachers in “working load” dimensions. The teachers with administrative work have higher stress from “working load” and “interpersonal relation” than the subject-teachers. The homeroom teachers have higher stress from administration support than the teachers with administrative work and the subject-teachers. The homeroom teachers have higher stress from “student performance” than the teachers with administrative work. 2. Spiritual health: (1)On the gender aspect: The teachers with diverse gender have no significant difference among the all dimensions. (2)On the age aspect: The aged below 30 teachers have better “transcending adversity” , “connecting to other” than the aged 31-40and the aged 41-50 teachers scored higher “religion attachment” than the aged 31-40,but the others have no significant difference among the other dimensions. (3)On the marital status aspect:The married teachers scored higher “transcending adversity” than the others. (4)On the function aspect: The teachers with diverse function have no significant difference among the all dimensions. 3. Well-being: (1)On the gender aspect: The teachers with diverse gender have no significant difference among the all dimensions. (2)On the age aspect: The aged below 30 teachers have better “interpersonal relation” than the aged 31-40.The aged 41-50 teachers have higher “self approval” than the aged 31-40. (3)On the marital status aspect: The teachers with diverse marital status have no significant difference among the all dimensions. (4)On the function aspect: The teachers with diverse function have no significant difference among the all dimensions. III. The correlation among job stress, spiritual health, and well-being of the study subjects. 1. There was a significant and negative correlation between their job stress and spiritual health. 2. There was a significant and positive correlation between their spiritual health and well-being. 3. There was a significant and negative correlation between their overall job stress and overall well-being. IV. The backgrounds, job stress and spiritual health were the significant predictors and explained 72.6 % of the total variance of well-being, and“workload”,“connecting to others” ,“religion attachment” , “meaningful living” ,“transcendind adversity”,“appreciated nature” , was a major predictor variable. The variable “connecting to others” obviously predict the overall spiritual health most. Based on the results of this study, some suggestions are provided for the elementary school teachers, education administration institutes as well as the future studies. The variable “connecting to others” obviously predict the overall spiritual health most.
