description 碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 生命教育與健康促進研究所 === 101 === The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of infuing life education into drug abuse education program on drug knowledage, attitudes and refusal self-efficacy among sixth grade students in an elementary school. This program was designed to assist students in recognizing, attidute and avoiding the harmful effects of tobacco, alcohol, betel nut and illicit drugs through education regarding basic knowledge, harmful effects of drug abuse, norms, and drug refusal skills, to resist drug abuse firmly in future. Infusing life education into drug abuse prevention education program for the present study was based on Chen & Ho (2010)'s curriculum/activity in which promotion of sipiritual life and reconstruction of life meaning were proposal on the basis of Frankl's Logotherapy. Expectations through the teaching unit design and teaching activities arrangements which contains value of creative, experience, and attitude can enable students to underatand the meanung of life, to understand life limited. And thus enhance refused to drug abuse self-efficacy. The study used a quasi-experimental research method. The subjects were 60 sixth grade students from the same elementary school in new taipei city. They were divided into two groups, an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group participated in the “Infusing life education into drug abuse prevention program”(intervention program), ten times while the control group did not. The experimental group was made up of thirty students (fourteen male and sixteen female) and the control group consisted of thirty students (fifteen male and fifteen female). Researcher is the teacher, a qualified elementary school teacher in new taipei city. Both groups were administered the “Elementary Student’s Drug Education Questionnaire” (including knowledge, attitude and refusal self-efficacy of drug) as a pre-test prior to the experimental group beginning the intervention program. The students were then given the same test immediately after the experimental group completed the 10-hours “Infusing life education into drug abuse prevention program” as a post-test, and again one month after completion of the program as a follow-up test. The research data was analyzed by Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA) to test the hypothesis by observing if the experimental group had immediate and/or delayed-effects increase of drug knowledge, attitude, and refusal self-efficacy as compared to the control group following the intervention program. The findings of this research are the “Infusing life education into drug abuse prevention program” can pormote students’ drug knowledge, drug attitude and drug refusal self-efficacy. The results are as follows: Firstly, about the drug knowledge, the scores of post-test and follow-up test of the experimental group are higher than those of the control group at the total sum of “drug knowledge”, also the sub-questionnaires of “tobacco”,” alcohol”, “betel nut” and “the illicit drugs”, there were significant differences among immediate and delayed effects. Secondly, about the drug attitudes, the scores of post-test and follow-up test of the experimental group are higher than those of control groups at the total sum of “drug attitude”, also the sub-questionnaires of “tobacco”,” alcohol”, “betel nut” and “the illicit drugs”, there were significant differences among immediate and delayed effects. Thirdly, about the drug refusal self-efficacy, the scores of post-test and follow-up test of the experimental group are higher than those of control group’s at the total sum of “refusal self-efficacy”, also the sub-questionnaires of “tobacco”,” alcohol”, “betel nut” and “the illicit drugs”, there were significant differences among immediate and delayed effects. The infusing life education into drug abuse prevention program have good effect of the experimental group. In addition, based on the findings of this research, referential suggestions about planning and implementing drug abuse prevention programs were proposed to school teachers and educational administration organizations.
