With a phase shifter that can generate 0o, 90o, -90o and 180o phase shifts, this antenna can achieve four linear polarizations at 0o, 45o, 90o and 135o directions in the far field. This can achieve better linear reception than the circular polarization and reduce interference to the other polarization. In this thesis, we use Kyocera LTCC process to realize the microstrip patch antenna with feed line in the middle layer, and increase the bandwidth by parasitic elements. A coupler connected with a two port microstrip patch antenna can generate left and right circular polarization, and four directions (0o, 45o, 90o, 135o) of linear polarization are synthesized by 0o, 90o, -90o and 180o phases. The antenna size is μm3 and measured realized gain is about 8dB.
