碩士 === 國立臺灣藝術大學 === 電影學系 === 101 === The short film Xiaoling was inspired by an encounter with a stranger on the street. We may not need to interact with them; maybe an everyday encounter is enough to spark romance in a lonely person’s life. We meet people every day no matter where we are going, no matter where we are in the world, in our back yard or on the street. Some encounters with strangers may strike us as everlasting moments or they are just a usual encounter. Sometime we expect more then we anticipate. A person’s emotions can trigger with wonders and imagination. Sometimes we discover that what we desire and want may only be right next to us such as a “someone” to be a lover or a companion but we are attracted to a wrong signal or a wonderful illusion that blocks us from the real reality.
