Exhibiting an architectural design operations workflow and cooperative communication behavior that are distinct from that of domestic architectural design firms, foreign architects began to enter the Taiwanese market in recent years. International cooperation directly influences competence and differences in operational techniques and cooperative communication behavior used in architectural design techniques among designers. A review of the cases of international cooperative and competitive bidding for the design proposals indicates that, other than reviewing domestic legislation, domestic architects ultimately want to participate in the practical design process, including the concept development and the implementation of creative ideas to gain international experience and practice through these international cooperative and competitive projects. Centering on the theme of “operational behavior in cooperative patterns” and drawing on concrete cases of international cooperation, as well as on cases of domestic firm operations, this study explores and analyzes the developmental processes and capabilities for technical operations. By employing practical case analysis and conducting technical interviews, this study analyzes the international cooperative behavior using a specialized knowledge acquisition procedure of operational workflow. The analytical results are the following: (a) Benefits of cooperative patterns: Based on various motives and purposes, any cooperative behavior adopted can gain experiences from cooperative partners to promote international perspectives and expertise. In particular, the pattern of establishing a joint venture in long-term cooperation is more conducive to effective learning and development. (b) Operational behavior in design proposals: Because of a lack of experience in international competition, Taiwanese architects are more susceptible to institutional restrictions imposed by the bidding terms. Consequently, they might be sidelined when cooperating with foreign architects and be unable to participate in the actual design process. (c) Strategic relationships provided in a cooperative pattern: The selection of cooperative partners should be based on the professional competence of both parties, to promote the firm’s experience and performance, be competitive, and satisfy the market’s demand for the bidding projects or the market. (d) Choice of application tools: The employment of 3D RHINO and other 3D design-aids might help to present a diversity of design concepts that comply with international standards. none 施植明 2013 學位論文 ; thesis 120 zh-TW
