The stress and strain graph obtained from the tensile test was used during simulation. The fractured thickness of a specimen was adopted as the fracture criterion of forming limit in simulation to determine if the part was cracked or not.
The numerical simulation results include relationship between punch load and punch stroke, distribution of the thickness, distribution of the equivalent stress, distribution of the equivalent strain, deformation history and the forming limit, the relationship between die radius and the minimum thickness region etc. in flat ellipse cup drawing process.
