It investigated the gap between provided services and served users’ needs, as well as elderly people’s satisfaction with these services. Through this investigation the actual needs of the community elders could be understood. By multi-dimensional survey of current status of community care service stations, the study expects to provide reference for further service improvements. The study adopted a triangulation approach. It collected research data at the service stations of Toufen Township by combining questionnaire survey and in-depth interviews. The subjects of questionnaires and interviews were selected by purposive sampling. The research results are summarized as follows: A. The overall satisfaction with service stations is high. B. The service satisfaction on community care stations were found that different sex, and health condition, attendances showed different levels of satisfaction. C. Elderly people with worthier health condition associate with better participation and satisfaction. D. The service gap on community care station and actual needs: 1. Insufficient number of time implement in care visit and health promotion services. 2. The Course lectures of acceptance are low, and it shows its inefficient utility. 3. Difficulty in implementing food service. 4. Long-term companionship-psychological support. 5. The demands of leisure time. 6. The Support of economics is still not fulfilled. E. Other research findings: 1. The staffs’ attitude affects elder’s satisfaction toward service stations. 2. The establishment of “service pay model” concept mitigates underfunding problem is necessary. 3. The lack of sustainable management and service professionals. Based on the research results stated above, the study has the following suggestions: A. Suggestions for community service stations: 1. To enlarge the service area to whole Taiwan, or to estimate the strategy of community care centers. 2. The use of qualitative research methods have been brought out rich and in-depth results. 3. Strengthen the community needs assessment, so that the elders’ actual needs could be understood. 4. To strengthen care visits and catering services, to increase the psychological and social support of the elderly.
