Compared to the conventional lighting, light emitting diodes are more energy-efficient and low pollution. Many companies put into developing LED lamps, which will replace traditional lamps as light sources in the future. The study planning designs a high power-factor flyback converters. The design of the power supply used boundary conduction mode structures. The power switch has zero-current-switching characteristics, so the switching losses can be reduced. The output current of each LED series will not change along the output load. In order to improve the power-factor, we further use the power factors corrector IC composed of an active power factor correction circuit. The power factors at input voltage of 110Vac and 220Vac all reach above 0.95. And the conversion efficiency reach more than 80%. The study also tested the characteristics of LED devices, to substitute different types of plates and thermal materials. The best type of thermal module was found. The heat dissipation plate was bonded on the LED modules in the experiment.
