Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立虎尾科技大學 === 材料科學與綠色能源工程研究所 === 101 === Palladium and its alloy membranes have good permeability of hydrogen. The Pd alloy/Al2O3 composite membrane stacked with the palladium alloy on the porous Al2O3 substrate is widely applied in the hydrogen separation and purification because of its high selectivity for hydrogen, good mechanical properties, and low cost. The electroless method has been widely used in the fabrication of Pd alloy /Al2O3 composite membranes due to its simple process and low cost. In this work, an ultrasound-assisted Pd activation process has been used to activize the porous α-Al2O3 substrate for improving the homogeneousness and adhesion of Pd particles on the porous ?-Al2O3 substrate. Additionally, the γ-Al2O3(Pd) modified layer was dip-coated on the porous ?-Al2O3 substrate by using Sol-gel method for improving the roughness of porous ?-Al2O3 substrate and the homogeneousness of Pd particles. Effects of the ultrasound-assisted Pd activation and γ-Al2O3(Pd) modified layer on the structure and hydrogen permselectivity of Pd membranes have been studied. Experimental results revealed that the ultrasound-assisted activation process can improve effectively the smoothness and homogeneousness of the Pd membranes. The H2/N2 selectivity of the Pd/a-Al2O3 composite membrane contained 11 μm-thick Pd film was 402, and that of the PdCuP/a-Al2O3 composite membrane contained 6 μm-thick PdCuP was 342. The PdCuP/a-Al2O3 composite membrane was stable after three cycles of thermal cycles test.
