Such swift development is creating a dramatic change in innovation and creation than ever before. With smartphones, the users could use them like personal computer with some special functions for both their daily-life activities and work-related-activities. This study is aimed to figure out the smartphone usage of employees as well as investigate the influence of different factors on the behavioral intention to use of employees for their work. The study extended TAM 2 to include employee intention to use smartphones for work-related tasks. This study also attempts to find out how smartphones impact on user’s intention through perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. A wide range of component variables were proposed with perceived usefulness (PI), job-relevance (JR), perceived usefulness (PU), self-efficacy (SE), Quality of Internet Connection (QI), Perceived ease of use (PEOU), Behavioral Intention (BI), Perceived of security (PS), Perceived of cost savings (PCS). The research method used for this study is of quantitative. Data was collected from 201 employees from business organizations in Taiwan. To test our research model, structure equation modeling (SEM) was conducted using maximum likelihood estimation in AMOS. The findings show that the factors including PI, JR, PU, SE, QI, PEOU, PS, and PCS are important in influencing smartphone usage in working. The main determinant of usage intention were job relevance, self-efficacy, perceived ease of use, quality of internet connection, perceived cost savings. Both Job Relevance and Perceived of cost savings are consistent and significant impact on the behavioral intention to use smartphones. The study further demonstrates the significant influences of perceived ease of use in which are self-efficacy and quality of internet connection in accordance with the model on which the research was based usage intention. 吳純慧 2013 學位論文 ; thesis 108 en_US
