If someone’s hand with viruses touches the computer mouse, the next one that touches the same mouse would be infected easily. If the infected hand touches the eyes, mouth or nose, the viruses would invade the body. However, in the evolution and mutation risks of virus and germs, if the pathogens on the mouse surface can be cleaned after using computers, the injected risk would be reduced largely. Thus, the thesis proposed and designed the wireless ultraviolet-disinfection mouse device supporting Bluetooth low energy function based on a general computer mouse. Moreover, the mouse provides the switching function of ultraviolet-disinfection mode and the management system provides the disinfection monitoring and history recording. The system is divided into four parts: wireless mouse device, user’s computer, server and history recording and searching. The first part is the wireless mouse device. The Bluetooth technology, wireless charging, and ultraviolet-disinfection circuit are integrated. The second part is user’s computer. The ultraviolet-disinfection software provides the synchronization of disinfection mode switching, detects the mouse disinfection status and transmits the disinfection information to the server. The third part is the server. The user account, password and disinfection history are stored and managed in the database. The fourth part is the user’s terminal with history searching. The web-based application provides history query to users. Moreover, the mouse provides three modes for user selection according the requirements of disinfection and environment. Users have high choice freedom. The wireless charging avoids the power problem during disinfection. The system integration of disinfection mouse and history recording provides a wonderful product and service; moreover, the practice can be extended to other products.
