Description
Summary:碩士 === 靜宜大學 === 企業管理學系 === 101 === The purposes of governance mechanisms are protecting the investments of a transaction, facilitating and promoting a sustainable cooperative relationship. However, the empirical results of the relationship between governance mechanisms and cooperative performance are still inconsistent. Considering the progress of the collaborative relationships have life-cycle characteristics (exploration, growth, maturity, and decline), so this study using relationship life cycle as contingent variable to clarify the impact of relationship between governance mechanisms and cooperative performance. Evidence from 117 domestic manufacturers that are listed in 1000 big domestic manufacturing survey of 2011 published by Common Wealth Magazine indicated that the using of the governance mechanisms had effects on cooperative performance during various life cycle stages. In the exploration phase, the positive relationship between formal control, as well as social control, and cooperative performance. In the growth and maturity phase, maintain an appropriate formal control and social control can have positive effect on cooperative performance. In decline stage, formal control, as well as social control, had negative relationship with cooperative performance. Managerial implications are discussed according to these empirical findings.
