碩士 === 靜宜大學 === 觀光事業學系 === 101 === In the past decades, the tourism industry has experienced a continuous growth and has become one of the fastest growing economic sectors in the world. With the growing number of tourists, the demand for tourism service personnel has also increased. Tour leaders do not only play different roles during the journey, but also need to respond to customer demands immediately and give appropriate suggestions to settle various situations. However, tour leaders’ job stress is different from others and female tour leaders face more pressure when they’re leading tours. Moreover, there are many Taiwanese female tour leaders are at nubile age but still unmarried or divorced. This study explores the job stress, working environment of female tour leaders. At the same time, this study also explores female tour leaders’ attitude about marriage and understands the relationship between job and marriage of female tour leaders using face to face interview by snowball sampling. The findings show that many of female tour leaders not only have to face the original job stress of being a tour leader but also have to face sexual harassment and sex discrimination when they’re doing the job. When the female tour leaders face sexual harassment and sex discrimination, they were unable to solve it at the first time but after several times they found the best way to avoid it.
