Summary:碩士 === 靜宜大學 === 教育研究所 === 101 === The primary purpose of this study was to examine the possible relationship between life adjustment and happiness of junior high school students in Chiayi County and know if the level of happiness could be predicted by the life adjustment. A questionnaire survey is used, accessing seventh to ninth graders in 8 schools by stratified sampling. Research participants were seventh to ninth graders students from Chiayi County. A total of 557 valid questionnaires were retrieved. Based on Personal essential data, high school student life adjustment questionnaire and happiness questionnaire to collect the questionnaire data. Through SPSS12.0 statistical software analysis, data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t test, Anova, Pearson’s Product-Moment correlation and regression. Because the research still keep on going, so the finding will expect:: 1.Junior high school students’ life adjustment is generally good, arrange in order:family adjustment, social adjustment, self-directed, self-competence, workadjustment, learning adjustment, interpersonal relationship, self-awareness. 2.Junior high school students’ happiness is generally good, arrange in order:the excitement of the story can feel a sense of happiness, quiet harmony, comfortable, and confidence hope. 3.The result of this study is:The male students’ life adjustment toward interpersonal relationship, learning adjustment,and self-awareness were better than their female students; the female students’life adjustment toward self-competence was better than male students; the male students’ life adjustment toward all the level of the life adjustment was better than female students. 4.The result of this study is:If parents’ bonding is belong to authoritative parentstyle, the student’ life adjustment was better than permissive-indulgent parent, authoritarian parent, and indifferent-uninvolved parent. 5.The result of this study is: small school’s scale junior high school students’ life adjustment were better than medium school’s scale student. 6.The result of this study is:largeschool’sscalejunior high school students were more happier than mediumschool’s scale and small school’s scale. 7.Eight levels of life adjustment, the overall life adjustment and happiness are a positive correlation. 8.The level of happiness could be predicted by the life adjustment. Several recommendations were made through interpretation of results that could constitute future references for relevant education institutions.
