The elderly population with chronic diseases also increase by increased, such as: diabetes, hypertension, stroke, heart disease and other dementia, especially dementia is the most attention in recent years. Dementia often associated with behavioral and emotional problems, leading to the gradual degradation of memory and cognitive function. The purpose of this study is to understand the situation of family caregiver, including patients’ abnormal situations, medical treatment and mood response, the impact of dementia care, the resources utilization, the channel who advise, the utilization factors of day care resources and changes in the family caregiver after dementia day care center. Science the situation of family caregiver, the further work will be focused on investigating family caregiver expectation on dementia day care center and government. This study employs a semi-structured interview of six family members, who involve in patient care and use dementia day care center more than one year. Six family members included three men and three women, mostly of the respondents are their children, and the degree of dementia patients are between moderate to severe. According to research findings, some respondents were lack of knowledge of dementia, lead to delay or no continuity of care, often missed the best period of medical treatment. Respondents mentioned that there is uneven distribution of welfare resources; the resource seems to be too concentrated in certain cities. Respondents were hoping to give their families in accordance with the degree of dementia care information provided for each stage of day care center activities. Respondents mentioned that activities repeated of support group, resulting decline in willingness to participate. According to the results, dementia day care center should pay attention to patient safety, and ask families feeling after participate in at each event as the reference of next activity. Government should increase local dementia resources and the popularity of dementia services, not only allow the public to understand this disease, and help them whom seek medical resources quickly, but also allows families to find the resources and services.
