The main task of the armed forces is to support military operations other than war such as disaster relief in the peace time. Founded in 1982, the Chinese People's Armed Police Force is serving people and loyal to Communist Party and people as its top priority. In the whole view of the political work development, challenges at home and abroad never ease. The political work plays an important role in different stages in response to the time and the demands of China leaders. Therefore, the political work is the main core of the Chinese People's Armed Police Force, which is the powerful tool of commanding under the principle of that armed forces are commanded by the party.
The Chinese Communist Party sets regulations that respond to disaster relief to ensure the legitimacy of disaster relief so that it becomes one of the main tasks of the Chinese People's Armed Police Force. Due to difficulties and danger, the Chinese Communist Party uses the political work well to assist every task. “PLA Political Work Regulations ”is the prime doctrine of the political work while the Chinese People's Armed Police Force conducts the disaster relief task. The context presents Sichuan Wenchuan Earthquake, which occurred on May 12, 2008, the most arduous mission conducted by the Chinese People's Armed Police Force in recent years. Throughout the earthquake, there are different guide principles in all relief stages, which is correspondent with real political work and supporting the Chinese People's Armed Police Force to achieve disaster relief in Sichuan Wenchuan Earthquake.
