According to the report which was provided by Market Intelligence & Consulting Institute in 2013, 60 percent of companies have used Virtualization Technology and it will increase to 70 percent in the future two years. It appears that the companies that have more trust in Virtualization Technology are expected to reduce costs. The ERP system is a huge functional system which integrates different functions. The efficiency and steady-going situation of ERP system are the key factors for running big businesses. Therefore, it can improve the companies’ working performance by the use of the characteristics of Virtualization Technology in ERP systems, because it can help the ERP system be more effective and provide better service. The main purpose of this study is to explore the literatures of Virtualization and integrate the characteristics of ERP systems to design a Virtualization platform which involves ERP system. Moreover, this thesis analyzed needs and system design by case study to build a structure for Virtualization application in ERP systems. This research compares the efficiency between new structure and original structure. From the result, it can seem that the average implementation time that new structures can save 53.85% more time than old structures in one program. On the other hand, new structures can also save 56.54% more time than old structure when many application programs are used at the same time.
