Description
Summary:碩士 === 樹德科技大學 === 兒童與家庭服務系 === 101 === The purpose of this study was to explore the process and results from the implementation of positive behavior support strategies by a parent to intervene her child’s addictions to web games. The researcher first observed and defined the baseline data of the target behavior. Then she employed a variety of research tools to gather information for the functional assessment to identify the function of her child’s target behavior. Then she developed the positive behavior support strategies based on the result of functional assessment. During a year of research process, the researchers met her research peers once a month or two months to discuss the progress of the project, problems encountered, and adjustments of strategies. The conclusions of this study were as follows: 1.The “antecedent control” strategy effectively reduced the free time which the child may use to play on the computer. 2.The “consequence management” strategy effectively reduced the amount of time the child played on web games. 3.The “ecological modification” strategy helped create a sense of harmony in the family. 4.The “teaching alternative behavior ” strategy help the child build the ability to use the computer on the diversity of its functions instead of just gaming. 5.The child’s strength was successfully led to build as the “alternative behavior”. 6.The implementation of the “positive behavior support” strategy help the parent improve the educational concept and attitude to her child.
