This study, therefore, aims at exploring the influence of competency on active duty soldiers transferring to civilian work, and the competency the soldiers need to be with while transferring, as well as whether the soldiers possess available competency to meet the need of enterprises recruiting. This study, with active duty officers and sergeants in volunteer service of Air force as research subject, uses the survey method of questionnaire to release 345 copies of questionnaires and collect 328 effective copies, reaching 95% of effective collection rate. After processing the statistical methods, descriptive statistics analysis, reliability analysis, etc., research findings of the study are shown as follows: 1.In gender, the degree of competency possession appears comparatively different between female and male soldiers. 2.Different ages express significant differences among the degrees of core competency, professional competency, and managerial competency. 3.The height of education appears different to the dimension of competency degrees. 4.Of the marriage variables, the degrees of core, professional, and managerial competencies for married soldiers are clearly higher than those for unmarried soldiers. 5.The length of seniority is with differences to the dimensions of core, professional, and managerial competencies. 6.Different ranks demonstrate significant influences on competency dimensions. The degrees of core, professional, and managerial competencies for officers in colonel levels are clearly higher than those for officers in lieutenant and sergeant levels. 7.Different positions appear significantly different to the variables of core, professional, and managerial competencies. The soldiers with leadership are obviously higher than non-leadership soldiers. 8.Different types of troops are also with different expression to competency. Core, professional, and managerial competencies for combat troops are clearly higher than those for combat support troops. Lastly, the study, according to research results, presents related suggestions to active duty soldiers transferring to civilian work, enterprises recruiting, and future researchers as references.
