Summary: | 碩士 === 南台科技大學 === 多媒體與電腦娛樂科學系 === 101 === In the realm of game design theory, the level design of a game plays an important role in the process of experiencing the game. Level design embraces the whole structure of the game. It exerts an enormous influence on the players’ impression and pleasure of vision, hearing, and gameplay. This study aims to construct a creative thinking model and process planning of level design. Through literature review, interviews with experts in the game industry and questionnaire survey, the study explores the design elements of game levels in the multiplayer online role-playing game as well as the creative thinking method of game design in the industry, and then to construct a creative thinking model and process planning of level design. The results showed that using "creative thinking model" will help planners build more creative and interesting game levels. In the game industry in Taiwan, the organizational pattern of teamwork is adopted chiefly in level design. In the different organizational patterns, there is little difference in the production process of game level. Game industry should seek to provide a better working environment and atmosphere, to strengthen functional training of the level designers in company, and using creative thinking methods of level design to raise up the standard of game level design.
