The research will also look at the differences between these two systems of social work, as well as the Atayal culture. How social workers explain the impact and influence of Atayal gaga culture on the social service process. The Purpose of this study: 1. To explore how the Atayal gaga culture influences social workers when they are providing services for an Atayal family regarding "Family Violence and Sexual Assault" issues, and how social workers explain the effects from Atayal gaga culture. 2. To explore specialties the social workers employ which cause culture shock and dilemma for the Atayal, and how they select and adopt their consolidated experiences for further reflection. 3. To understand the Atayal people’s thought patterns and their significance towards social work in practice, in order to enhance non-Aboriginal social workers’ cultural sensitivity. 4. To strengthen the collection and collation of the native Atayal practical experiences in order to enhance the links between social work profession and the Atayal culture. 5. To make a proposal for the practice and education of Atayal social workers, according to the cultural shock and consolidation experiences acquired in the process of serving Atayal families. Qualitative research to collect data. I conducted individual in-depth interviews and focus group interviews to collect data. In-depth interviews with individual parts were collected from 11 respondents. Focus group interviews were completed with 7 focus groups with 16 respondents. Results 1. From the view of the Atayal tribe: Domestic Violence Prevention Law = Destroying Family Harmony Law. 2. In regards to Atayal gaga culture and sexual assault, their reasoning is victims were raped by Utux punishment. So there is a view of "continuation of sin; it's their curse". And on the offenders are conditioned by ridicule and criticize. 3. Domestic violence prevention services is unable to respond to the special tribal cultural and structural relationships. Social workers take an integrated action to intervene in "domestic violence" and "sexual assault" events. Methods of intervention will sometimes refer to Atayal traditional culture of family ideology, and the values on maintaining family relationships. Also they will study the problem family’s structure; then design an integrated family treatment strategy. 4. Social work professionals triggered Atayal culture shock and services predicaments, 17 difficulties and conflicts. 5. In order for Atayal professional social workers to do their reflection, they must have a highly integrated understanding of gaga culture and the Christian faith. The social workers will consider the Atayal tribe's Christian faith and its impact on the population, and even offer special spiritual care, this is already very common treatment social workers will provide. 6. Presently, practical Atayal social workers who have received complete basic social education are underrepresented, Social workers lack of expertise with the Atayal culture makes it difficult for them to appear as professional. 7. The social workers found that they cannot pass on their knowledge in accordance to the social work profession because of limits the Atayal culture present. In addition, failure began to adjust service strategies by reflecting on the professional knowledge learned in school, and how to use it in Atayal culture. 8. In this study, the respondents have cultural attributes, professional attributes, and Christian religion and other various valuable attributes, In order to integrate these special experiences, you need to continually accumulate. It will not be split by the value system of mainstream society or academic hegemony, Atayal social workers living in the fringes of social work expertise, face their own complex and professional problems of being marginalized based on personal character. When they face the authority of the academic community, or a system of government services program, there is resistance and division between Atayal people and social workers. Based on the results of Atayal social workers’ practical experience, researchers provide some suggestions for professional community workers, and social workers educational institutions.
