Survey methodology was adopted. The survey questionnaire included “family atmosphere scale”, “school life adjustment scale” and “well-being scale”. Total valid questionnaires received were 714. Data obtained from the survey were analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The results were as follows: 1. Family atmosphere perceived by six-graders in Taichung City was above average.The highest score was “family expectation”. 2. School life adjustment of six-graders in Taichung City was above average. The highest score was "learning adjustment". 3. Well-Being of six-graders in Taichung City was above average. The highest score was “interpersonal contact”. 4. Girls were significantly higher than boys on the scales of “family interaction”, “the overall school life adjustment” and “interpersonal contact”.5. Nuclear families and stem families were significantly higher than single-parent families on the scales of “family atmosphere”, “school life adjustment” and “well-being”. High socio-economic families were higher on the above scales than low socio-economic families. 6. Family atmosphere had modest positive correlation with school life adjustment and well-being of six-graders in Taichung City. 7. School life adjustment had high positive correlation with well-being of six-graders in Taichung City. 8.
