Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 生物科技研究所 === 101 === The purpose of this study is to develop new composite glue, mainly composed of tetracalcium phosphate (TTCP) and type I collagen, which is deformable in the early stage and becomes strengthened after hydration. TTCP is able to rapidly self-set and harden after hydration. The product is osteoconductive. Type I collagen, the majority distribution of connective tissue in the skin, hard bone and blood vessels etc. , plays an important role in tissue remodeling and wound healing. Carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) is a cellulose derivative with carboxymethyl groups (-CH2-COOH) bound to some of the hydroxyl groups of the glucopyranose monomers that make up the cellulose backbone. Varied degree of substitution provides unique viscosity, so that CMC is applied as thermo-responsive hydrogel in the recent studies. Sodium carboxymethyl cellulose with medium degree of substitution was used to increase adhesion ability of the bone glue in this research. A series characteristics were carried out, including mechanical properties test, surface morphology observation, crystalline phase analysis, pH value variation and in vitro test.
