Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 製造科技研究所 === 101 === This study is to analyze the impact properties of Nylon 66 (PA66) and (Polycarbonate, PC). Specimens including the different melt and mold temperature by injection molding technique with a single gate (non-existing weld line) and a dual gates (existing weld line).Temperature sensor was assembled at the weld line location of the mold cavity to record the real time temperature. The plastic materials contain the crystalline plastic (Nylon, PA66) and the non-crystalline plastic (Polycarbonate, PC), which added the different proportions of fiberglass. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was used to observe the specimen cross-section and fiberglass orientation. Results show the ability of impact resistance of non-crystalline plastic (PC) is better than the crystalline plastic (PA66). The impact strength is distinct increase due to the fiberglass added when the fiberglass added to the crystalline plastic (PA66). The higher the weld line temperature is, the larger the impact toughness can be obtained.
